  • Recognized by COO and staff for success in 10 key leadership areas: TNA, culture change (including team-building, emotional intelligence, work-life balance, 360-degree leadership feedback), improved inter-school collaboration, internal talent development, clearly identified leadership roles within academy, DEI, online learning restructuring, vendor recruitment and management, positive financial management, and well-maintained working environment.


4. Head of Department, Psychology Lecturer & Counseling Psychologist
HELP University (Malaysia. Higher Ed). Multiple Years Fulltime– 1995-96, 1998-00, 2005-08, 2019-20
  • Co-Founded Malaysia’s 1st Psychology program/school – resulting in 4 university degree programs, job opportunities for 100+ faculty, and 8,000+ graduates across 25 years.
  • Founder and Director of ARCCADE  & Mentoring Youth (MM) – Recruited, trained and managed 4 full-time mobilizers and 60 youth volunteers, collaborating with United Nations, Malaysian Government, and public schools, and obtained RM300K+ funding from UN and sponsors; impacting lives of 300 teenagers across 2 years.
  • Director of Executive Education and Lecturer in Psychology – Spearheaded creation of 7 full semester courses, 2 two-day workshops, and 2 leadership sessions that enhanced learning outcomes for over 300 learners 


5. Assistant Professor - Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior, People & HR Development
University of Nottingham (Malaysia. Higher Ed. School of Applied Psychology). 2009 - 2010 (fulltime)
  • Assistant Professor (2009 – 10), Adjunct (2013) & Guest Lecturer (2014 – 2018) – designed and executed modules in Applied Psychology and International Human Resources – via 6 full semester courses and 5 guest lecture areas – with high learner satisfaction capturing valuable insights.
  • Senior Research Consultant for School of Education (2011) – designed extensive research framework and instrument for multi-university collaboration commissioned by Malaysian Government, analysed quantitative data from 2000 participants, prepared 2 key research papers and involved in presentations to government.
  • Training Consultant for School of Business (2011) – 2-full-day training in Creativity in Thinking and Communicating for 40 Malaysian Government managers,  Psychology of Entrepreneurship for 35 Business students.

Pennsylvania State University (US. Prevention Research Center). 2000 - 2005
  • Doctoral Coordinator for Communities That Care (5 years) – Working with multi-disciplinary team members on an ambitious multi-component intervention impacting positive youth development in 80+ communities, and substantially contributing to 3 peer-reviewed publications.
  • Investigator & Manager for MCAW (3 years) – Design and completion of psychosocial research with 1800+ youth participants leading to 4 evidence-based expert-reviewed papers. Securing international funding of over USD12,000. Managing stakeholder relations with schools and government ministries in Malaysia. Training research assistants.
  • Project Initiator for 9-11 Youth Conference on Peace. Multi-site international collaboration with Penn State, US Dept of State, US Embassy in Malaysia and 250+ participants.
